Review by hotel critic
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Cessnock Vintage for a gourmet escape, and it was quite the delightful experience. While the hotel was undergoing renovations, the staff's friendliness truly shone. They were helpful right from our arrival, even though parking was a little tight due to the ongoing work. The highlight of my stay undoubtedly was the dining experience. The restaurant features a cozy dining room that captures the essence of local culinary innovation. One evening, I made use of the shared kitchenette to whip up a few snacks, before joining fellow guests for a hearty meal. The variety offered was impressive, and the tea and coffee-making facilities were a welcome touch. Our room was immaculate and comfortable, with beds akin to clouds. The door latch occasionally struggled with the strong winds, and I had to adjust it slightly. The pool was also a bonus, and I was grateful it remained accessible during the renovations. It's a genuine gem worth visiting, especially if you're in town for a concert at one of the nearby vineyards.
